MLSI MUN 2025

Overview
UN Women (UNW) is a United Nations body dedicated to promoting gender equality, protecting women’s rights, and empowering women and girls across the world through international cooperation, policy development, and advocacy. The committee works to address issues such as gender discrimination, violence against women, unequal access to healthcare and education, economic inequality, and barriers to political and social participation. UN Women also supports member states in implementing policies that strengthen women’s health, safety, and autonomy while advancing global sustainable development goals. Under the agenda “Addressing Global Disparities in Access to Contraceptives and Rights to Reproductive Autonomy,” delegates will examine challenges such as unequal healthcare systems, cultural and religious barriers, lack of reproductive education, poverty, restrictive laws, and limited access to contraceptives in developing and conflict-affected regions, while debating solutions to improve healthcare accessibility, protect reproductive rights, promote gender equality, and ensure informed and safe reproductive choices for individuals worldwide.
